History

DFL Honor Guard Training was founded in 2005 by Lt. R. D. Kantner of the Goshen, Indiana Police Department.  Kantner was instrumental in the development of the Goshen Police Department Honor Guard Camps, including designing the curriculum, and authoring the Student Manual and Reference Guide.

In response to numerous requests to bring the "Goshen Program" to departments who could not make the trip to Indiana, DFL Honor Guard Training was formed.

Utilizing the same curriculum, Student Manual, and many of the same instructors, DFL Honor Guard Training presents the same high-quality training which has brought national recognition and accolades to the Goshen Police Department Honor Guard Camps.

DFL Honor Guard Training has traveled throughout the United States, training more than 500 Police Officers, Firefighters, and EMS personnel. Our schools have been hosted by departments in Connecticut, Nebraska, Mississippi, Illinois, Michigan, California, and Florida.
